Positrol’s chuck repair services department offers both rebuild and preventative maintenance options. While all of Positrol’s products are designed to allow the end-user to do any/all preventative maintenance in the field – including Hydraulic Expanding Mandrels* – customers are free to send these items back for service when desired.
For full repairs, please send those to Positrol’s headquarters in Cincinnati. Our repair department will analyze the issue and provide a quote for the repair. This inspection service is always 100% free for all Positrol workholding products and competitor workholding as well. We are able to give full-service industrial chuck rebuilding.
*Hydraulic Expanding Mandrels – Many competitors offer a brazed or welded solution for the expanding mandrels. These arbors lose grease or oil over the actuator seal just like the sealed mandrels that Positrol provides. To bleed and refill a Positrol Hydraulic Expanding Mandrel, please follow the simple instructions that came with the mandrel. In order to have a brazed mandrel refilled, you must send it back to that providers special refill facility.
